For several years l have relied on the lovely Fleet Street Clinic to cover my travel vaccination needs - for example to Cambodia, Vietnam and South Korea. They have real expertise in recommending what is necessary and protecting against risk, but not excessively so (the difference between travelling in countryside and in major cities). I learned via this clinic that there are several types of flu vaccinations and was able to choose what works best for me, along with COVID boosters. Having unfortunately had a bad NHS experience with vaccination earlier this year, l had a second and final shingles dose at the clinic. The last time, l wasn’t able to sleep on my left hand side for 10 days. At Fleet Street Clinic, the wonderful nurse ensured l had a perfect result. The Clinic is also great for general travel advice and accessories.

They were quick with my appointment today but I felt really unwelcomed and uncomfortable. The people at the front desk didnt even say hello or reply to my "goodbyes" that I repeated several times (good manners, you know?), the way they look at you when you enter the Clinic, the few words exchange and cold attitude (I am a client, I pay in advance £130, I just expected average customer service). Seriously, It was appalling, I felt really unwelcomed. I dont think I'll come back or recommend this clinic to anyone.

We had a deeply concerning experience at this clinic involving our 8-month-old baby. I booked a private appointment specifically for the cell-based influenza vaccine (2nd dose), and I stated this clearly multiple times when booking, and I was explicitly told this is what would be given. At the appointment, my wife again asked that the vaccine be the same as the first dose. Despite this, the standard egg-based vaccine was administered without our explicit consent. We only discovered this afterward when the invoice listed the different (cheaper) vaccine. When we raised the issue, the head nurse confirmed there was human error involved: - The appointment was booked incorrectly by reception. - The nurse did not verify which vaccine had been given previously. - The vaccine type options were not discussed or confirmed before administration. Although no medical harm occurred, this represents a serious consent and process failure, particularly when vaccinating an infant. This is exactly the kind of situation private clinics are supposed to avoid. Parents should be aware and ask for explicit verification before any vaccine is administered.
